Wake-up time calculator
Start from the time you need to be there and work backwards. Tick the morning steps you actually do, adjust the minutes, and see the latest time you can get up.
My morning steps
Why work backwards?
Most late mornings aren't about waking up late; they're about guessing how long things take. Adding up the real minutes for each step usually shows one or two steps that can move to the night before, like packing a bag or laying out clothes.
Steps that are easy to move to the night before
- Pack lunch and bag, and put keys with them
- Lay out clothes and shoes
- Fill the coffee machine or kettle
- Check tomorrow's calendar and weather
- Charge your phone where you'll see it on the way out
Time each step for a few mornings with your phone's stopwatch, then come back and put in the real numbers.
